Voor diegenen die in de komende winter naar Thailand reizen langer dan 30 en maximaal 60 dagen, zijn er begrijp ik twee opties. Een verblijfsverlenging vragen bij een immigratiekantoor of een 60-dagen-touristenvisum. Dat laatste lijkt me makkelijker.
Ik neem aan dat het net als voor de 60 dagen-toekenning nog kan via https://thaievisa.go.th/, klopt dat?
In ieder geval kon het inloggen nog met mijn oude wachtwoord.
Nu kon ik niet zo snel de termijn van indienen vinden. Was dat niet maximaal 60 dagen voorafgaande aan de binnenkomst?

Aanvragen van het visum dient altijd te gebeuren via https://www.thaievisa.go.th/
Zoals op de website van de ambassade staat: één maand maar niet meer dan 2 maand voor je geplande vertrek.
“6. How long is the processing time? & When should I apply for an e-Visa?
Generally, for most applications, it is expected to take 5 – 10 working days after a complete application is received which means all required documents must be submitted correctly. Some applications can take longer. Please observe the Embassy’s holidays.
You must apply for an e-Visa at least 1 month before your intended travel date BUT no longer than 2 months because most visas have 60 – 90 days’ validity starting from the date of issuance.
Applications by certain nationals can take up to 3 months to complete the process.
All visa applications submitted more than 90 days prior to the intended date of arrival in Thailand, as specified by applicants in the applications, will be rejected.”
