Visa for Thailand: Does selling my house affect my visa?

Dear Ronnie,

Have sold my house in Thailand and as such no longer have a permanent home address in Thailand. My year visa Non Immigration O Re Entry Permit expires at the end of January 2020.

Can I use this visa until the end of January 2020? I plan to travel around Thailand.

Dear Jan,

You can use that year extension until the end date. Selling a house does not affect your annual extension. But if you have a year extension, you must also have a permanent address and you must also confirm that every 90 days.

That does not mean that you have to continue living at that permanent address for the duration of the annual extension, of course. You can move and this as often as you want. You will, however, have to report that change of address to immigration at the local immigration office.
