We are traveling to Thailand November 23rd. We have booked to Koh Chang. We depart Amsterdam 23-11 at 17.15:10.15 PM and arrive at 25:11 AM. We want to book a hotel at the airport and then leave the next day. 9-12 to 10-12 we booked at Oasis Koh Chang. 12-15 at XNUMX:XNUMX our flight to Amsterdam departs. My question is, is this all doable for traveling back and forth in a rental car. From airport to Koh Chang and back?

I'm flying to Thailand soon and there's been a bit of a fuss lately around the crowds at immigration. Well, I once read somewhere that you can walk a bit (200 meters?) instead of turning left with everyone to the first immigration passage and that you will then reach a quieter immigration passage.

My sister is in hospice with lung cancer and wants to say goodbye to me. So I want to go to the Netherlands and the questions are these. What do I have to do and bring or show to obtain a re-entry permit at Immigration Jomtien? What are the costs? Do I have to specify a departure and return date? Passport and retirement extension are valid until April 2, 2018. I am 80 years old and does the airline ask for a health certificate or a doctor's statement that I am able to travel by plane?

The important World Cup qualifying match between France and the Netherlands will be played in 10 days. Let me just be in Pattaya for vacation. I would like to know in which catering establishment in Pattaya this match will be broadcast, preferably on a large screen and perhaps also with Dutch commentary. The starting time of this match is 01.45 Thai time on the night of Aug 31 to Sept 1.

I was terribly disappointed in Chiang Mai place. The enormous crowds of noise and chaotic traffic. The temples, especially in the old city, are a bit lost. Forgotten and abandoned. Not very atmospheric and would never go back. Yet apparently there are foreigners who like to live there. Why actually? Can someone explain that to me?

I actually have a question about the Lounges for Economy Class at Suvarnabhumi (floor 3), I know there are but haven't been there yet, my question is actually what lounges they are and how far they are from Gate G 3 Terminal 1 , that is the flight to Brussels. And you can also buy a lounge pass via the internet, but can't figure out whether it can be used once or several times, and which lounge should I take?

What is true? Here in the Netherlands, a star advertisement from the Plus supermarkets regularly passes by on TV, they claim that rice farmers in Thailand get a fair price for their rice.

Didn't I just read on Thailand blog that they get very little for their rice?

My name is Pascal and I will be going to Thailand soon. My wife is Thai and we have a house in Hang Dong (Chang Mai). So first I have to ask for a Visa “O” at the Thai Embassy in Bruxelles. My question is, am I required to go in Chiang Mai immigration to ask for the 01 year extension or can I also do it in Lampang? (further but better service I think).

I want to go to the Grand Palace in Bangkok next week to see all the preparations for King Bhumibol's cremation. I have black clothes with me. I hear that there are about 10-20.000 visitors a day to visit the cremation site, so long waiting times. Does anyone know what I should take into account in terms of waiting time? Have the opening hours been adjusted, or just from 8:30 a.m. to 15:30 p.m.?

Everyone who lives here or stays longer in Thailand knows that there is a system of double entry fees for foreigners. A few years ago you could also buy a ticket as a foreigner on presentation of your Thai driver's license for the same price as a Thai. In many cases that will no longer work, even with a yellow house book.

I want to spend the winter in Thailand when I retire. Still a few years to go…that is. This in the months of November, December, January and February. How can I best do this? Going to a hotel seems rather expensive to me. Is it possible to just take a flight (for example to Phuket) and stay in people's homes? What is the best way….price, but also a bit of quality?
