If you are applying for a residence permit in another country, a letter of support is required in some cases. With this letter from the Dutch embassy you show that you have Dutch nationality and what your income is. You can only request this document by post. There are costs associated with requesting a letter of support.

You all know about the new rules for issuing annual visas. In short, the “income statement”. I have sent all the necessary documents such as bank statements, tax return, accountant's statement, copy sister, copy of that, a whole pack of paper with 2000 baht in it via EMS to the Dutch embassy in Bangkok. A week later the mail brought me the necessary document.

Soon it will be time again to extend the Non-immigration (retirement) visa to be allowed to live in Thailand for another year. It was not entirely clear to me how to proceed with regard to obtaining the income statement, because from 22 May 2017 the procedure for applying for an income statement changed.
