It has always surprised me that a country with around 72 million inhabitants does not really excel on the world stage when it comes to sporting achievements. Especially if you compare it with Belgium and the Netherlands, relatively small countries that play an important role on the sporting world stage. My friend and I are football fans. We watch all matches broadcasted on TV and internet and with the time difference that is often night work. We also go to the home matches of Chaiyaphum 4th class, so not many highlights. When I visited Buri Ram a while ago, I also visited the stadium of the champion of Thailand and thought it would be nice to watch a home game here.

Finally back home. Sweetheart and The Inquisitor spent three long weeks in Pattaya, like real holidaymakers. That 'leave' had been arranged long ago, De Inquisitor had arranged it in February. For one reason or another he wanted to stay longer in the infamously famous seaside resort, and that is why he chose a hotel that was almost unknown to him. The private hotel.
