Thailand question: send 10 boxes to the Netherlands?
It has been a few years since I emigrated to Thailand from the Netherlands. I then took my few possessions with me. Now, at almost 80, I want to ship specific items back to the Netherlands. They are books, CDs, DVDs, videos and the monopoly game from around 1960 with all original attributes. In total about 10 boxes weight 80 kilos. Now I'm looking for a carrier (forwarder) but can't find it on the internet either.
Can I send glasses from the Netherlands to Thailand?
I bought glasses in the Netherlands multifocal with self-tinting lenses. These would be ready after 2 weeks but that will be 1 month. So now I have a problem because I'm leaving for Thailand again this week. This is 3 pairs of glasses. Can you send it to Thailand? Can customs cause problems?
Experiences with sending a package from the Netherlands?
Fortunately, the end of the corona chaos is coming to an end. When we were still in the middle of it, sending a package from the Netherlands was a bit like buying a state lottery ticket. Read many messages about it on this blog, sometimes positive but very often negative. I haven't read anything about this subject in recent months, which may mean that everything is going reasonably smoothly again.

Isn't there a faster way?
Some time ago I asked where you could buy Nespresso coffee capsules for a normal price in Pattaya. I got a number of comments from readers on that, thanks for that. Nevertheless, I decided to send a package with coffee cups from the Netherlands to Thailand. I want to share my experiences with you.
Reader question: Sending boxes from Pattaya to Sukhothai?
I would like to send 2 boxes of clothes from Pattaya to Sukhothai. I would like information from you about how I can do the best now and a bit of normal rates.
I would like to ask you a question about Sidegra. I recently sent a package to Belgium with 10 boxes of Sidegra, 10 sticks of Poy-Siam Nasal inhaler and 5 packages of Hotta ginger tea. The package has arrived but….. the Sidegra and the nasal inhalers are out. Probably taken away by customs. My contact in Belgium who placed the order had to pay 32 euros tax which I find outrageous, while the goods have been seized or stolen.
Reader question: Send parcel to Thailand/Laos
Send parcel to Thailand/Laos. Surely someone here has done this before. Can someone tell me what the costs are, for example, and where to arrange this for a "normal" price?
Send boxes up to 20 kilos by ship to the Netherlands?
I read on Thailand blog that someone has sent boxes up to 20 kilos to the Netherlands by ship. I wonder how or through which company he did this? I now also have to send 3 boxes of 14 kilos from Bangkok to the Netherlands. DHL or any other courier is incredibly expensive hence why I am looking for cheaper options.

Consumers who buy products outside Thailand will soon be able to pay the import levy online. The parcels are then sent to their homes.
Parcels from Thailand to NL have not arrived, what can I do?
I would like to know what to do now that parcels sent from Thailand to the Netherlands have not arrived? We have lived close to Chiang Mai for about 10 years, in Mae Rim. Still homesick after 10 years, so back to the Netherlands. We then sent 23 boxes of 20 kilos, of which 10 arrived. Just sent an email to Post NL anyway. In response I got…. the boxes were sent back to Bangkok and it's been too long to find out!
Parcel post in Thailand
In a recent article in the Algemeen Dagblad I read a number of interesting, but above all impressive figures about parcel post in the Netherlands. The Thai Post also delivers countless parcels a day. I don't have any figures on that, but there will undoubtedly be many millions on an annual basis.
What are the experiences with sending mail or packages to Thailand? I have been living in the South (Cha-am) for a short time now and was wondering, what is the best way to let those who stay at home send something by post or parcel service? What are the best companies in terms of service and delivery times and, of course, what are the costs?
Reader question: Pay a lot for a parcel from the Netherlands?
My wife sent a package (550 euros: equivalent value 22.000 baht) from NL with clothes/shoes/bags to her sister. Her sister had to come to the post office and was told to pay 8.800 baht. I talked to that postal worker and she mentioned 20% and 7%. I therefore did not even get to the question why these percentages were levied and a quick calculation (27% over 22.000) comes to about 5.500. This is quite a damper on the "festivities".
