At the end of November I spent ten days in Pattaya in the Blue Sky hotel halfway through soi 5. Very quiet and a clean, spacious room as well as the balcony, but without much of a view. But all expected comfort was present. This for the price of 1.360 Baht, without breakfast.

Work is currently underway to raise the 2,7 km long beach from north to south Pattaya with sand. 360.000 cubic meters of sand will be dumped to preserve the beach. The cost is 429 million baht. The job should be completed by the end of this year.

The editors of Thailandblog receive from our readers Arnold and a nice video about Khao Takiab also called 'Chopstick Hill'. Khao Takiab is a fishing village just 10 kilometers outside of Hua Hin. The area is best known for its main attraction: a mountain with a beautiful panoramic view that is also the domain of hundreds of monkeys. Also nice is the fishing port where you can enjoy fresh fish in the many restaurants.
