Since the beginning of this year we have a piece of land in Khao Chamao with some durian trees and other fruit trees. It now appears that our water reservoir is not deep enough and is currently dry. I was informed about deepening with an excavator. I think this is already quite pricey; they ask for 2 baht for 50.000 days of work, including the removal of the ground.

Admittedly I am pro Thai Airways (to each his own) and so I don't know about the other airlines. It was coming, about 5 to 6 weeks ago the rate (via FRA) was Flexi in September next. +/- 1.100,- € and now for the same 'itinerary” 1.450,- €, just 32% extra!

Due to, among other things, the war in Ukraine, petrol prices in Europe are going through the roof, especially in the Netherlands, where you pay tax on petrol (excise duty and VAT on top of that). And so you pay € 2,45 for a liter in the Netherlands (along the highway).

In the yard of poa Keim, a lot of people are sitting among the traditional rubbish. But strangely enough no food or drink on the stone table and little enthusiasm. There is a somewhat strange atmosphere, hardly any cheerfulness in the conversations. Stranger still, there are a few net bags ready, along with a bunch of plastic bags containing traditional Isan foods. Dried pork, some kind of vegetables, glutinous rice. Son Aek is going to leave the village, along with his friends Aun and Jaran.

I usually bring some bottles of eau de toilette from the Netherlands for myself. When my favorite fragrance was gone, I decided to take a look at Central. I was shocked at the prices. In the Netherlands at Douglas I pay € 50 for a bottle of 54 ml BLEU DE CHANEL. At Central they asked € 125 for that!
