What about entering from the Netherlands? I called the consulate and the embassy of Thailand here in the Netherlands. They refused to issue visas or provide further information. I had to wait until the end of July due to the pandemic. They also told me that there will be new rules regarding the visa application.

I have been preparing for my emigration to Thailand for over a year now. I have decided to live in Rayong. I follow the housing market in these areas via various brokerage sites and notice that most homes are for sale for a long time. This is important if I want to make an opening bid. I have marked +/- 20 homes as favorites and follow these homes.

For years I have read all reader questions and reactions with interest, but now I have a question that I do not see sufficiently answered in previous articles on this subject. I (41 years old) leave for Thailand in early March with a multiple entry 6 months tourist visa with the intention of eventually settling there permanently. Now I have written a letter to ABN AMRO for a number of practical matters and they now suddenly indicate that they want to close my accounts. At ING there also appears to be no option.

I am now in Thailand for the third time in 2 years and have been staying with my girlfriend for 5 months now. Holds a Non Immigrant O visa until October 3, 2019 and then wants to extend it with extension via immigration. I am seriously thinking about making my stay in Thailand permanent, ie emigrating. I now have a Thai bank account and can park the necessary 800.000 baht on it. Furthermore, I am with pre-pension through the ABP after 41 years of education. But I don't have a state pension yet, I won't get that for another two years.

I will retire on November 1 and have serious plans to settle in Thailand. I have been coming to Thailand for about 18 years to celebrate my holidays and stay there for about four weeks. My first week I stay in Udon Thani because my girlfriend has a house there together with mother, 2 sons and a sister, then the two of us continue on our way in Thailand.

I want to emigrate to Thailand next year and deregister from the Netherlands completely. An ONVZ employee referred me to OOM insurance, where they have a living abroad insurance policy. I have sent an e-mail to them to find out whether they will accept me. I have Crohn's disease, and have a colostomy, so I do need my stoma equipment in Thailand every month, and my tablets.

Can you simply connect a washing machine from the Netherlands in Thailand? Can I have my pension transferred to Thailand via ING bank and Transferwise or is it cheaper to have the money transferred directly to a Thai bank every month? Can you also file your tax return from Thailand electronically?
