The Short Stay Visa (VKK) or Schengen visa is applied for by partners of Dutch people with a nationality from outside the EU. They need a VKK to travel to the Netherlands for a holiday and/or family visit (max. 90 days).

Research: 'Dutch people abroad with a Dutch bank account are faced with arbitrary cancellations'
Many Dutch people living abroad have or had a Dutch bank account. In recent years, banks have increasingly asked for more money to maintain these accounts. More and more banks are also closing the accounts of Dutch people abroad without consultation. Banks say they do this because they have to incur extra costs to comply with the rules of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). DNB monitors the banks in this way to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.
Stichting Goed has noticed that bank accounts in the EU are becoming more expensive and are often closed outside the EU. There is also more checks on transactions.

The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport has confirmed that emigrated Dutch people who were stranded in the Netherlands last year due to travel restrictions can 'go along' with the current Dutch vaccination policy, as it has recently also been (partly) based on self-registration.

Proof of life, mobile ID check
The SVB is developing an app for the proof of life, while at the same time GDPS is developing a similar app for the ABP (ABP is part of the implementing organization APG).
Stichting Goed: DigiD what do you do with it?
DigiD or Logius has started adapting the DigiD App, so that ID documents (passport, driver's license) issued abroad are suitable for the ID check. After this, the DigiD App can be used by all Dutch people abroad. You can then continue to log in with a DigiD without a telephone number, without traveling, by performing an ID check.

Update on the previous message from the Good Foundation: A joint letter has now been sent to the Senate, by the Foreign Partner Foundation, the Inburgeraars 2013-2020 group and the GOED Foundation, about the new Civic Integration Act.
The GOED Foundation has been working for a while to see how we can improve the remigration process (Dutch people who return) with the help of the authorities in the Netherlands.
Treatment passport also useful abroad
In the Netherlands, doctor Ester Bertholet developed the treatment passport. According to Ester, many people have not thought carefully about their treatment wishes and a treatment suddenly happens to them.
The Dutch (central) government wants to further improve services to Dutch people abroad. This month (until June 30, 2020), the Kantar Public research agency is conducting a new investigation on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The qualifying non-resident taxpayer scheme (kbb), which came into effect on 1 January 2015, replaces the option of non-resident taxpayers to be treated as resident taxpayers. The regulation divides non-resident taxpayers into “qualifying non-resident taxpayers” (with tax benefits) and “foreign taxpayers” without these.
Council of State ruling on loss of Dutch nationality
The country coordinator of the GOED Foundation, Bert Hermanussen, informed us that the Council of State has issued a ruling regarding 6 people who, according to the minister, lost their Dutch citizenship “by law” (automatically) because of the 10-year clock.
