From groundwater to drinking water in Thailand?
On our land in Nongprue/Kanchanaburi we have an artesian well, which is always nice to have with us; it was already there when we bought the site and the pump still works.

Purchase of a home in Thailand and additional tax bill
My partner and I bought a house in the Krabi area; my partner took care of the paperwork and I took care of the financing. The transfer of ownership took place at the Land Registry, where I believe transfer tax was also paid. However, now we are confronted with an additional tax bill where we have to pay 6%.
Is emigrating to Thailand a way to pay no or less tax?
I have been living in Thailand since July last year. I really like this and I rented a nice house in Buriram, bought a car and a motorcycle. Everything fine as desired. Now I recently received a provisional assessment from the Dutch tax authorities for 2024, an amount that I can easily live on for a year.
I would like a fund that will make a monthly distribution of THB 15 to my Thai wife in 10.000 years and for 20 years. I want to pay up that fund in 4 annual installments in order to pay out that amount.
I have a question regarding my Thai driver's license. Due to the corona situation, my Thai driver's license has expired and can no longer be renewed. That is why I was forced to apply for a new Thai driver's license in Pon Thong, Roi-Et province, including all additional procedures. The administrative part went without any problems, as did the various tests and the medical examination.
Is there an alternative to Wise?
I am having difficulty opening a Wise account despite multiple attempts to identify myself with a Thai ID or driver's license. Both with an iPhone and now on my partner's Android phone, my attempts fail. Recently I managed to upload documents via Android phone, but shortly afterwards I received another disappointing notification. Since I have been deregistered, I can no longer use my Belgian ID. This keeps me from getting any further.
Are there also shops in Pattaya or Bangkok where only organic products are sold? I ask this because in Thailand you are not only poisoned by air pollution, but also through your food. Thai farmers are known to happily spray poisons that have long been banned in Europe because of the possible link with Parkinson's disease and cancer.
I have a retirement visa, and my passport expires in 3 months. I wonder why I have to wait 4-5 weeks for my new passport at the embassy when my old passport expires, I assume they have a whole pile of blank ones in the cupboard? Does anyone know how this protocol works internally? Is your old passport or copy perhaps being sent back to the municipality in the Netherlands that issued it for verification and is that why it takes so much time?

I have now permanently moved to Thailand for a while and I really enjoy it here. My days are largely filled with computer work. I currently use a cheap office chair, which means I regularly suffer from lower back pain.
Can a straight couple also bring a woman to your hotel in Pattaya?
We are going to Pattaya for 14 days in March. What to do in Pattaya as a couple? Can a couple take a woman to your hotel there? And what may that cost? Where is the best place to find such a person? What should we pay attention to?
We went to Thailand once in September. This year we actually want to go to Krabi again in September or October. Or is that not recommended these months due to the rainy season?
Moving the household effects from the Netherlands to Thailand
In about 12-18 months we want to move to Thailand permanently. Many things that need to be arranged are now clear to me. It is still a puzzle, how to deal with moving part of our belongings? Not that we want to take everything with us now, but there are things that we want to take with us. Especially things that are still fairly new. We also want to bring the necessary equipment that is younger than 3-5 years old. Our home is already prepared in terms of mains voltage and sockets.
Can you only reclaim Thai VAT at the airport?
I plan to buy an iPad in Thailand and take it back to the Netherlands. Now we also want to reclaim the VAT, the TAX refund. Is that only possible at the airport? Because I often see whole rows of Chinese people there, so that will cost me a lot of time.
Moving from Bali to Pattaya?
Since 1986, I have spent a month in SE Asia every year. After my retirement I decided to settle in Bali. I own a nice house there with a 25-year lease. But I increasingly realize that Bali is more suitable for young people on holiday.
