Because of the suspicion of gout in my big toe, the hospital had a blood test done and a too high uric acid value was found and also an too high ALT or ALT value (I don't remember the number of the latter). After taking Allopurinol 2 mg and Colchicine 300 mg once daily for 0,6 months, the uric acid value is well within the norms again, but the ALT value is 80 while it should be below 50. Both the doctor and I know that the cause is very likely to be sought in alcohol consumption.

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a baby box in Thailand? In the Netherlands you see them everywhere, but it seems to be something really Dutch. So I don't mean a crib or bed, but really a playpen, so a square wooden piece of furniture that you can put in the living room and let your baby sleep / play in until 1 or 2 years old. You can often adjust them in height.

The competition in that sector of convenience stores is apparently fierce, because even a few times I see where a Tesco Express appears, especially the nearby Family Mart disappears after a while.

I read the submitted story about adoption yesterday. My situation is as follows. I want to get legally married in Thailand this year. My wife a 13 year old daughter from a previous marriage. The Thai father never acknowledged the child and there is no contact whatsoever. Now I would like to acknowledge the daughter as my daughter. How should we handle this? Is marriage enough to recognize the child as a daughter? Or do you have to go into the whole mill like with adoption? Because that's quite a hassle. Isn't there an easier way?
