Thailand Immigration vraag Nr 150/26: Wanneer moet ik mijn aanvraag voor een e-visum indienen?

Graag zou ik vernemen vanaf welke datum ik een Thai E-visum kan aanvragen. Het schijnt erg druk te zijn bij Thai Visa en er zou een langere tijd zijn voor je eventueel je visum via mail ontvangt. *(+/- 5 weken). Ik ga vertrekken naar Thailand op 10-11-2026.

Als de aanvraag op tijd binnen is, welke datum moet ik dan nu aanhouden?

Ik weet niet of het druk is, maar zou kunnen gezien de recente vermindering van de visum exemption van 60 naar 30 dagen.

Als het volgens jou +/- 5 weken duurt dan dien je het toch 6 weken voordien in.

Ergens tussen de maand en 2 maand voor vertrek is prima zeggen de ambassades

Generally, for most applications, it is expected to take 5 – 10 working days after a complete application is received which means all required documents must be submitted correctly. Some applications can take longer. Please observe the Embassy’s holidays.

You must apply for an e-Visa at least 1 month before your intended travel date BUT no longer than 2 months because most visas have 60 – 90 days’ validity starting from the date of issuance.

Applications by certain nationals can take up to 3 months to complete the process.

All visa applications submitted more than 90 days prior to the intended date of arrival in Thailand, as specified by applicants in the applications, will be rejected.
