Since I live in Thailand I passionately practice a new hobby, namely pool billiards. It is extremely popular in this country where you can play it almost anywhere, in bars, restaurants or pool halls.

Gringo frequents Megabreak, a pool hall in Pattaya. In addition to the regular players, many tourists come to the pool hall who want to play a game or just have a drink. So nothing spectacular and no significant incidents of any kind occur. Until last week. Gringo sketches a “drama” as a one-act play.

You must be a loyal reader from the very beginning to remember a story I made in 2012 about a resident of Tiel, whom I called Flipje Tiel for the sake of convenience. He was already a loyal visitor to Pattaya and the Megabreak Pool Hall. If he wasn't in the pool hall, he was somewhere in a bar enjoying booze and pretty girls.

Last week I had another meeting with my fellow blog writer and good friend Joseph Jongen. For years we see each other at least once a year, usually in Pattaya and I always look forward to his arrival, because he always has a good time and, moreover, he brings cigars for me.

Finally back home. Sweetheart and The Inquisitor spent three long weeks in Pattaya, like real holidaymakers. That 'leave' had been arranged long ago, De Inquisitor had arranged it in February. For one reason or another he wanted to stay longer in the infamously famous seaside resort, and that is why he chose a hotel that was almost unknown to him. The private hotel.

The conclusion from the article “Own boss in Thailand” still applies. There are few investments by foreigners in Thailand that are really successful. Megabreak Pool Hall in Pattaya, where I spend quite a few hours, on the other hand, is an example of a good investment at the right time.

In many of my articles on this blog you may have read that I practice my hobby of pool billiards, which I learned in Thailand, in Megabreak Poolhall in Soi Diana, Pattaya. It's a fun pastime and I recommend you come and see it at least once and maybe it's also an opportunity for you to play a game, either recreationally or in a tournament setting.

Gringo has been coming to this pool hall for years to organize a pool billiards tournament with English friends three times a week. At the weekend we follow all kinds of sporting events on large TV screens, including the Premier League of England, while I keep a close eye on developments in the Dutch football league. All decisions of this season in England and the Netherlands are not yet known, but we already had something to celebrate.

Belgium had to watch passively last Saturday as the Netherlands came second in the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, but it was still a memorable day for our southern neighbors. Patrick Fiersen from Antwerp won the important Leaderboard Tournament in Megabreak Poolhall in Pattaya.

No, Miss Megabreak 2011 is not a winner of a beauty pageant, where a number of lovely and beautiful ladies parade in front of a jury. Miss Megabreak 2011 is the winner of the annual big pool billiards tournament, which will be played this year on Saturday 3 December at the Megabreak Poolhall in Soi Diana Pattaya.

In April of this year I wrote an article about pool billiards in Thailand and in particular about the ins and outs in the Megabreak pool hall in Soi Diana (Pattaya). I also told about the different tournaments that we organize there every week. Three general tournaments 9- and 10-ball, in which both regular guests and tourists participate. The participation is international, because the players come from 10 to 15 countries. Then on Tuesday…
