Reader Submission: The Forgotten Tam Nak Thai Restaurant
I don't drive on Ratchadaphisek Road in Bangkok very often, but every time I have to be there I always think of what the area looked like about 25 years ago. The road was as it is now, but it lacked the gigantic buildings as it is now with colossal shopping malls, colossal hotels, colossal soapy massage houses and a bit too much of the colossal for my taste, but it will be (was) necessary.

I can't quite understand why people here are so exceptionally enthusiastic about Transferwise, without any nuance.
Today I was stunned when I went to the beach in Jomtien again: Completely empty! Not a chair or umbrella to be seen. I read the sign (see photo) stating that from now on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, every other week, the beaches may no longer have chairs with umbrellas. Do not drink alcohol on the beach and the chair owners are not allowed to sell alcohol when they are open.

Yesterday (June 22, 2020) the KLM flight of July 13 from Bangkok to Amsterdam to Bangkok (return flight for my girlfriend) was cancelled.
