Schiphol will increase airport charges by 37 percent over the next three years, making airline tickets more expensive. Airlines, which pass these costs on to passengers, will pay an average of 2027 euros extra per departing passenger from 15. Despite a voluntary contribution of 100 million euros by Schiphol itself, airlines are critical and are considering an appeal to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets.

From 12 November, Qatar Airways will increase its flight frequency to Schiphol to fourteen flights per week. The airline expects to transport around 40.000 extra passengers between Doha and Amsterdam this winter, using both Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s.

I booked 2 tickets for my Thai wife and me from 24/2/23 to 13/5/23. That's 77 days. Is it best to apply for a 60-day tourist visa and then extend it by 1 month before the end of the period? However, on the application forms I have to upload flight tickets and then they see that it is 77 days instead of max 60? Will that not cause me any problems?

Thai VietjetAir operates a large number of domestic flights in Thailand. It is a budget airline like there are more in this country, but unlike most others, this airline does not have Don Mueang as its base, but Suvarnabhumi. This is a good thing for arriving and departing international travellers.

With some regularity, people respond to this blog with questions about an airline's return date policy. I myself had a problem when I left in October with a return date in December. I only had 3 days left on visa. The EVA Air staff was not aware of the fact that if you enter the country before your (Non-immigrant O) visa expires, you will simply receive a 90-day stamp upon entry into the country. They apparently thought that your return date must be before the expiry date of the visa. After a lot of calling and nagging I was allowed to go.

Dear Rob/Editor, Short question regarding flight. My Cambodian girlfriend (who has been in Belgium for many years) will be returning to Belgium at the beginning of September with C-Visa/Short Stay 90 days. Soon (Monday 29/08) she will receive her visa from the French embassy in Phnom Penh. Now we are going to submit a marriage proposal in Belgium with all the necessary documents (legalized and translated and legalized), which is possible and the city is already aware. My question, should I…

Can you get stuck if you are in Thailand and a new corona wave breaks out? Do you need a special, much more expensive, flexible flight ticket in such a case, so that you can possibly change the date of the return flight? Or is it perhaps better and cheaper to take a one-way ticket, so that you are not tied to a return date in the event of a new outbreak?

I want to go to Thailand for 90 days in September. First on a 60-day E Visa and extend it for 30 days on the spot. Can I buy a 90 day in/out ticket in advance or does it have to be a 60 day ticket that runs concurrently with the first 60 day visa and then change if I can stay 30 days longer?

My question, if I have a ticket for 6 weeks, but no visa in the passport, will there be any problems at the EVA Air check-in counter? I want to apply for a visa in Phetchabun at immigration, so that I do not have an overstay. I'm flying from 29-10-2022 to 10-12-22, but EVA Air has to let me pass by at check-in, and also at passport control.
