How do you experience the new seats in KLM's Premium Comfort Class?
![](https://www.thailandblog.nl/wp-content/uploads/vraag_62569921-250x250.jpg)
I recently flew with KLM in Premium Comfort Class and noticed a hard metal strip in the back of the seat during the return flight, which was unpleasant. The stewardess confirmed this and offered an extra cushion, which unfortunately did not help much. Are there more travelers who have experienced this problem with the new seats, which have only been in use for a short time? What were your experiences with these seats?
24 hours in Bangkok (video)

I have often referred to KLM's beautiful travel blog, where all kinds of fun stories appear that have to do with KLM and travel. Thailand is also regularly discussed, because it is an important destination for KLM. This time it is a story by Diederik Swart, a former KLM flight attendant, who describes how you can still get a nice impression of the Thai capital from a short stay in Bangkok.

My KLM return flight BKK-AMS was canceled and I was given a place on the same KLM flight a day later in the same class and even the same seat. That was neatly arranged. I received the message 12 days before the day of the canceled flight. About 10 years ago I had a disagreement with KLM about a delay. They didn't want to give me €600, even though I was clearly entitled to it and I had to...
'No more KLM for me!' (reader submission)
![](https://www.thailandblog.nl/wp-content/uploads/klm-bangkok-1-250x250.jpg)
I had booked a flight with KLM. To my regret I received a message that my flight to Amsterdam had been cancelled. They suggested an alternative flight via Paris, but that was not an option for me, as I am disabled and use a wheelchair, which can only be transported in a special container in the hold.

Last month I posted this message: “I am currently in Bangkok, for the first time with KLM. A few days ago I received the message that my return flight on 16/1 has been cancelled. I now see that this is also the case for the flight on 13/1. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Operational problems were given as the reason.
KLM Business Class and no lounge access (reader submission)
![](https://www.thailandblog.nl/wp-content/uploads/klm_2354083803-250x250.jpg)
I recently flew to Bangkok with KLM Business Class, but discovered a surprising limitation. Not every Business Class ticket offers lounge access, as I learned when my 'Business Class Light' ticket denied me access to the KLM lounge. Despite the small print on my boarding pass printed at home, I was surprised at the lounge entrance. While this wasn't a big deal for me, it's an important nuance for future travelers: a premium ticket doesn't always guarantee premium benefits.

A recent data breach at airlines KLM and Air France has raised concerns about the security of customer data. At the end of December I will fly from Schiphol with KLM to BKK, previously I only flew with EVA AIR. Checking in with EVA AIR required queuing for at least an hour each time, is this easier at KLM?

After all the negative stories now something positive. Consulted the Schiphol app several times prior to my trip. Almost every time it was reported that I had to take into account very long queues.

How do KLM flights KL803 to Bangkok/Manila work? These depart at 20.45 pm. You should then be present at Schiphol at 17.45 pm. Is it manageable or is it chaos?

For July and August, due to staffing problems at Schiphol, a maximum number of passengers departing from Amsterdam applies to all airlines. So also for KLM. That maximum differs per day. To meet this, KLM is limiting the sale of tickets and KLM will also cancel a number of flights on a limited scale.

How strict is KLM with hand luggage dimensions?
![](https://www.thailandblog.nl/wp-content/uploads/vraag-34g6-250x250.jpg)
I will soon be flying with KLM from Bangkok to Amsterdam, and back to Thailand a few weeks later. I would prefer to fly without hold luggage, so only with hand luggage. KLM has a maximum size of hand luggage of 55x35x25 cm. Now my suitcase is 51x39x20 cm, so a bit too wide.
To Koh Samui with KLM?

I am flying to Samui over Bangkok on April 23 with KLM. This has been booked as 1 booking. Is it true that I can just make this trip and then enter the Test & Go program from Samui via my hotel? Or do I have to stay in Bangkok for 1 night and continue from there?
