My wife has been in Belgium for 9 years now, everything is fine with her. She has followed integration courses, works, we have a son, and she has a Belgian ID+ card. I'm going to NL again with Lufthansa on March 27 and my girlfriend would like to come with me for three months. However, I think she must then be repatriated via the embassy and I think that goes through KLM. It therefore seems to me difficult and expensive to buy a return ticket for her from Lufthansa now, and then have to purchase a one-way return flight from KLM in three months' time.
