Dear readers,

At the beginning of March I fly back from Bangkok to Amsterdam with Emirates transfer in Dubai. According to the latest data, a Corona test is not necessary from Thailand (safe country). But there is a stopover in Dubai. Is a rapid test required?

Emirates does not give clear answers. Anyone flown with Emirates recently?

Regards,

Rob

    Hi Rob.
I flew back to NL with Emirates on January 19th. No covid test needed. Checked before departure on the website of Dubai Airport and then no test was required for transfer passengers. Also upon arrival at Schiphol, showing my Thai visa and exit stamp was enough. What I can recommend to you and anyone else with stops in between is to take screenshots of the English version of the central government website, which states that no covid test is required for Thailand origin. Not every employee at the gate in Dubai is aware of this exception and you could easily avoid hassle.

    Have a good flight.

Flew from AMS to BKK last year. The quality of the people at Schiphol who check your Thai visa was outrageous. Really no idea what a multiple entry Non-O is.
The person who supposedly asked me critical questions had no idea what it was all about, that everything was fine.
You stand there at check-in with a piece of ignoramus with a primary school education.

Pretty derogatory 'assessment', Peter. The man or woman you check in is not a visa expert who has also graduated on Thai immigration rules.

What's wrong with just a primary school education.
There is more demand for plumbers electricians and car mechanics construction workers than those so-called highly educated computer boys.

    hey rob,

If you have a layover in Dubai, you don't need a PCR test.

    Greeting.
