Have proof of life signed Korat?
Received (early) pension from pension fund Rail and OV for the first time this year, so I was invited to sign and send proof of life. Apple egg I thought after consulting Thailand blog.
New SSO office in Pattaya
As a pensioner in Pattaya (this right can gradually be called a customary right), I have to prove again that I am alive. Although I sometimes doubt, it seems to me that this proof can still be provided.
Reader question: Can I have my life certificate stamped at Social Securety, in Leam Shabang?
Can someone tell me if Social Security, in Leam Shabang, is re-stamping its forms.
Reader Submission: Experience SSO Laem Chabang
Today (8-9-2020) traveled to Laem Chabang to get the statement of life from the SVB for the application for my state pension signed and stamped. Now I had prepared myself in view of the rumors that SSO Laem Chabang no longer does that -whether or not for the time being. Called SSO and SVB in the preliminary phase and were told by both authorities last week that they do. You guessed it: not if you…
Reader Submission: No proof of life to be sent
Today I received the following correspondence from the pension fund SBZ (Stichting Bedrijfstakpensioenfonds Zorgverzekeraars): You do not need to send proof of life now. The board of SBZ Pensioen has decided to make a one-off exception for this year.
Reader Submission: Proof of Life (Chiang Mai)
Last week we read a piece on Thailandblog that the SSO would no longer sign proof of being alive. Due to the Corona measures, we had postponed the trip to the Government Building in Chiang Mai
The Social Insurance Bank (SVB) requires proof that you are still alive for the payment of your pension or benefit. You prove this with the life certificate form. You must complete this SVB form, have it signed and return it to the SVB. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), you cannot have this signed at the moment.
Reader Question: Proof of Life at Immigration in Jomtien
I have always been able to do my "Proof of Life" at immigration in Jomtien for the past few years. This was always accepted by the ABP. Now I have to do my 90 day report next week and also want to do my "Proof of Life". Is this still possible?
A question about the living proof. Got that for SVB at the SSO, but they didn't know where to get that for pension funds. In my case ABP and Zorg & Welzijn. Who knows where I can get that in Chiangmai?
In its newsletter, Stichting Goed mentions the problems surrounding the life certificate – proof of being alive – Attestation de Vita.
The legal aspect of an Attestation de Vita
Pensioners who have deregistered in the Netherlands and live in Thailand, for example, are familiar with the Attestation de Vita. It is written proof, which is required by pension funds, among others, to demonstrate that someone is (still) alive. This means that after the death of someone, the pension benefit is stopped.
The annual SVB obligation in Pattaya/Jomtien
Last week I received the well-known envelope from the SVB Social Insurance Bank with the request to fill in the requested information. From Jomtien/Pattaya one then has to go to Laem Chabang where an official of the SSO checks the paper against the passport and places a date stamp.
Reader Question: Proof of Life for Spanish Consulate
I have read the questions/answers about obtaining proof of life but these were from 2013. I need proof twice a year for my Spanish bank (as a Dutch citizen) and I have been to the Spanish consulate in recent years who now say over the internet that I am not Spaniard and that I have to go to the Dutch embassy.
Reader Submission: Proof of Life (NL)
As you know, the SVB requires a validation for the AOW benefit, issued exclusively and only by the SSO office Thailand (Social Securety Office). The SSO office definitely does not provide validation for a Dutch pension fund, unless this pension fund has joined the SVB. I have a few things in writing from the board of the SVB.
For the SVB I have to have my living form filled out, at the Embassy or at the SSO. I live in Jomtien and as far as I know there is an SSO in Chonburi. Does anyone know if there is also one in Banglamung/Pattaya? And would this also be possible in another place?
Good news from the SVB for state pensioners
At least, I thought it was good news. I received the annual form again to fill in for proof that I am still alive. Previously I had to go from Pattaya with my Thai wife to the SSO office in Laem Chabang for some formalities and stamps, but that is no longer necessary.
I know this topic has been covered three times on the blog but Thailand wouldn't be Thailand if it didn't change things regularly. A few weeks ago I received a letter from my transport pension fund about the Proof of life/Proof of live/Certificate de vita.
