I am looking for the experiences you have with building a house and buying the plot for it.
My boyfriend and I are going to Thailand soon. We have only booked airline tickets and a hotel in Bangkok. We go south from BKK by train and stop in a few places including Hua Hin.
I have a question about my Thai girlfriend who lives in Yasothon. She has a child of mine and I live in the Netherlands. The child is now 4 months old and she asks 20.000 baht every month for maintenance costs. She also opened a coffee shop at my expense.
Reader question: Who has had the same negative experience with customs, immigration and police
Recently I come back from Laos. Visa extended and some small purchases there. Also had 4 farden (slips) cigarettes. Two for me and two for my girlfriend who was also with me. No problem two farden de man, they said where I bought it. Perhaps not unimportant for the further story. Inside the tax-free shop 180 baht, outside 130 baht for the same brand. So the bill was quickly made. After all purchases back to Thailand.
Reader question: Where in Thailand can I order gifts and have them delivered at home?
I am a daily reader of the blog and I have a question. I live in Belgium and have had a Thai girlfriend for several years. At regular intervals I send her flowers or other small gifts via a website, which they then deliver to her home.
Reader question: How can I get study material from Ad Appel for the integration exam?
I live in Thailand with my Thai wife, I want to prepare her for the A1 integration exam. I know that Ad Appel has good study material, but it has to be sent to Thailand from the Netherlands. I have bad experiences with this, mail never arrives.
I have a specific question about Chiang Mai. We have privately rented a house in Chiang Mai. It took a while before we got the address from the owner and actually we couldn't do anything with it until I got the coordinates so we could see exactly where it was on Google maps.
This month we will start with the construction of our ground floor holiday home in Buriram. The living area (including terrace) will be 92 m², the roofing consists of colored metal plates and the ceiling of gyproc plates.
Reader question: Who knows a gardener near Pattaya?
Who knows a good gardener/woman near Pattaya? Also some examples of prices.
I want to ask via Thailandblog whether there are bars or other entertainment venues in Pattaya itself (not Jomtien) where many Dutch people come. Which bars can you recommend? Are there nice discotheques? It is the first time that I travel alone, but I hear from many that traveling alone to Pattaya is not a problem…
Just under half a year before I emigrate to Thailand, I am a bit hesitant about something my girlfriend told me. Her mother would buy another house a little further down the street. But it would be in my girlfriend's name. All three children now have a house in the same street. In itself ok.
I have a daughter in Thailand with a Thai mother who I lived with for 5 years. My daughter is now 14 years old and I have been married for several years to a Thai who is not my daughter's mother. Due to circumstances I want to take my daughter to Belgium, no problem so far, the mother has renounced the daughter and all documents are in order except for 1.
Reader question: Where in Phuket is good snorkeling?
Soon we will visit Phuket and are very curious which places / locations are worth going snorkeling?
I would like to know what options there are to secure your home in Thailand? I often see very beautiful and imposing fences that block access to a house, but my question is more about solid hinges and locks for doors and windows.
Reader question: Tour through Thailand, Chiang Mai or not?
I want to go to Thailand with my family, 4 people, at the end of July 2016 for about 21 days. We want to spend the first 5 nights in Bangkok. Then we want to take the train to Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. Because we want to spend the last 7 days of the trip on Koh Samui, we don't know if it is wise to spend a few days in Chiang Mai after Sukhothai.
Reader question: Long layover in Dubai, who has tips?
We fly to Thailand in February and have a long layover (15 hours) in Dubai. We want to be a tourist for a day and visit the hotspots.
I have been married to my Thai wife for a while now and we live in the Netherlands. We also have a will here and my question is how do I make it legal in Thailand?
