Who has experience in applying for a Thai Tax No. in Pattaya? Can you do that yourself, or do you need a lawyer or accountant, what papers are required and how long does it take?
My boyfriend and I are going to Thailand for 6 weeks. We might want to combine this with a trip to Vietnam or Cambodia. How long must you have crossed the border to be able to get another 15-day exemption for Thailand? Do you need visas for Vietnam and Cambodia?
A lot has been written about the Attest de Vita for my pension fund (ING, so NOT the SVB or SSO). I live in the Pattaya region and now have to have a certificate completed by a competent authority for the first time.
Who has experience with having the date of birth corrected in Thailand? My girlfriend is Thai from the Hua Hin area, her father only filed a tax return in 1971 when she was already 5 years old. This has practical consequences for the future, such as that 5 years later than others, she will be eligible for accrued state pension in the Netherlands or old-age allowance in Thailand.
Reader question: Paternity test/DNA test
I read on Thailand blog about a DNA test. Only that still differs from opinions and prices. Does anyone on (Thailandblog) know if there is a reliable research laboratory in the Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) area, whether or not a hospital, where I can have the test described above performed?
In 14 days I will travel to Thailand again. I know that a lot has been written about it, but I would like a clear answer to the following: with which Thai bank can I open an account and what are the conditions? I would like information about a euro account.
My girlfriend has her own house in Thailand with a Tambien Baan with her address and only in her name, so she is the main occupant (Chow Baan). Now I read on various forums that this is not proof of ownership.
Does anyone know if I can buy special ornamental glass and other supplies in the north of Thailand to make stained glass or tiffany work? I do not mean the traditional colored diamonds with motifs as you see in many older Thai houses, but for example marbled or multi-colored glass
Much has already been reported about driving licenses on this blog. Because the procedure changes often, I want to ask a question. I hold a Thai driver's license for a period of five years. This driving license expires in November of this year and I would like to renew it. I understand that renewal must take place before the expiration date or you will have to start all over again.
I want to go to Laos from Khon Kaen by car, can I arrange a visa at the border? And what are the costs and does anyone have experience with this regarding waiting times, etc.?
Reader question: Where can I buy a ghost house?
Everyone knows them, the so-called Spirithouses. Now I think that is a decorative gadget and would like to have one at home in Belgium (a small one of course) and preferably entirely in natural wood. However, I have no idea where you can buy something like that?
Reader question: Home exchange Pattaya – Tilburg
For my holidays I have been going to my beloved Thailand for over 20 years. I have been retired since last year. For the first time I was able to stay in Pattaya for a longer period of 3 months. I liked this very much. Then I rented an apartment.
Soon I can go back to Chiang Mai for 4 months. Previous times I always noticed that my laptop started having problems the longer I was there. Lots of lag, stuttering, and the need to reboot repeatedly. When you return home, a specialist is needed who knows how to solve some of the problems.
I have a question about debit card in Thailand from the SCB SMART PASS. There is only an account number and no name. Now I know the name of the person I send money to, of course, but I like to copy it exactly from the card to avoid mistakes.
I have been hibernating for a number of years, always in tropical countries. Next winter I want to do that for myself in Thailand for the first time. I will combine my stay in Thailand (December, January, February) with my great passion: birdwatching and photographing.
My Thai girlfriend wants to submit a visa application for a visit to Belgium.
I have the following question about this: on the website of the Embassy of Belgium the address is Sathorn Square Building, 98 North Sathorn Road. She has now received an appointment date to register at The Trendy Building, Sukhumvit Soi 13, Klongtoey Nua. Has the Embassy moved? Why the difference in addresses?
I intend to move to Hua Hin next year. I want to live with my girlfriend who owns a restaurant there. Am 53 and she 44 but my question is about the visa or what I need to do to stay for two years without any problem. Do not have 800.000 baht but do intend to marry under Thai law.
