Holiday of 3 weeks, to Thailand or Vietnam?
I'm on vacation for 3 weeks at the beginning of September. I have yet to book. Think Vietnam or Thailand. I know both countries, have been there once. I think there is still a lot closed in Thailand? And it's not there yet like it was before corona. I am not very familiar with the current situation in Vietnam.

I want to fly to Vietnam via Bangkok soon. Can you tell me if this is possible if I have a transfer within 24 hours? Or do I still have to quarantine (one night) in Bangkok? Do I have to clear my luggage or can I label it if I have a confirmed reservation? Can I fly even if the color code of both countries remains orange?
So, you want to move from Thailand to Vietnam?
We read it regularly, also on this blog, that some foreigners think that life in Thailand is not getting any more pleasant. Not surprising given the current exchange rate of the Baht, the discount on pension benefits in the Netherlands, the hassle surrounding the TM 30 and other sometimes incomprehensible (visa) rules and the price increases in Thailand, which also affect the Thai. Some, especially retired foreigners, say they have had enough and are considering another country of residence, such as Vietnam, to improve their (financial) position.

In quarantine
25 Dutch people and 2 Belgians are quarantined in Hoi An, Vietnam. After they got off the plane, it turned out that one person on board had the Corona virus.
