I managed to get new health insurance that meets the Immigration requirements for an OA visa. I already had insurance, but with only Inpatient coverage. It was already requested at my last year extension, but the new requirement only took effect 3 days later.

For several years we have been using the METV Visa for our winter stay in Thailand. We live close to the border of Malaysia, so no problem with the 2 monthly visa run. We always do this in Satun Wang Prachan border. Our first visa run at the beginning of December 2019, no problem crossing the border and back and all this in less than 30 minutes. Yesterday we went for our second visa run “big problem”. We were told to stay in Malaysia for at least 2 days and provide proof of 1 night stay. We pointed out that our visa was a “METV”. On January 16, 2020 I went to the immigration office, located on the outskirts of the provincial capital of Sisaket, for the extension of my stay (retirement) by 1 year (valid until 15-02-2020) and the 90-day notification (valid until 19-01- 2020).

“Immigration Office Trat in Laem Ngop, application year extension Non immigrnt O visa based on retirement”. Requested the extension in Chiang Mai last year, it went pretty smoothly then.
