From the serene tranquility on the balustrade of our home in Ban Wang Khong Daeng to the lively streets of Bangkok and Chiang Mai, our seven-week trip through Thailand and a trip to Laos were a series of discoveries. Despite the concerned questions about possible jet lag, the time zone was the last thing on our minds. Our days were filled with exploring the rich culture, breathtaking landscapes and unique gastronomy of Southeast Asia. Between the hospitality in our restaurant, the activity in the gallery, and adding both new and antique treasures to our Thai home, we have embraced a pace of life that took us far from the daily grind. Our trip was a celebration of the art of living, guided by the principle that nothing is mandatory and everything is allowed.

Laos reopened the country to tourists on May 9. This was confirmed at a press conference announcing that vaccinated tourists can visit the country without a pre-test or a test on arrival and without compulsory health insurance.

By the end of the month I have to go to Vientiane, Thai embassy for a visa application. I will have to stay there for one night and have no idea which hotel or where to take a hotel. Does anyone have a proposal for a hotel, near the Thai embassy area and price around 1000 baht.

Thaksin will be joined by about 50.000 red shirts from the Northeast during Songkran in Vientiane next month, says red shirt leader Nisit Sinthuphrai. They will gather at the Nong Khai stadium on April 11 to travel to Laos the next day. Asia Update tv will broadcast the visit live. Supposedly 10.000 red shirts travel to Siem Raep in Cambodia, where Thaksin is on April 14 and 15.
