I am about to have to renew my non O visa. I am married to a Thai. My question is, do I need to get health insurance. I have not deregistered from the Netherlands and I have basic health insurance in the Netherlands.

I entered on September 28, 2022 with a Non O marriage visa of 90 days and planned to extend the period of stay by one year, also on the basis of marriage. Now I have changed my mind and want to go for the retirement visa, because the requirements are easier, but mainly because it gives me more security if something happens to my wife, you never know.
In your answer to an earlier visa question (048/20, Freddy) you explain that once you entered with a non-immigrant O visa based on Thai Marriage, you can extend the period of stay by one year based on Thai Marriage but also on basic retirement. After all, your explicit answer is: (quote) “3.
