I am looking for a fixed internet connection. I was at 3BB (Pattaya) this afternoon and was told I can only get 30MBps VDSL. Does anyone have experience with this? For example, is it fast enough to watch TV?

When you see the tangle of electrical wires outside, you are actually surprised that you usually have electricity or internet. I have been a customer of the TOT for 25 years for my telephone and internet. It hardly bothers me that this doesn't work every now and then. I am annoyed by the fact that it is hardly possible to complain. A completely unreachable phone company.

Or vice versa. In both cases a feeling of despondency overwhelms me. If my internet connection via 3BB (fiber optic) in Hua Hin fails again, I call the call center. For English press 9, I am told. That's what I do and invariably get a computer lady who explains to me in her best Thai what to do. So that's not the point.

Holiday to Thailand, it is always beautiful and adventurous. In my opinion, traveling is the most beautiful thing there is. Wonderful, you are in a different world, the smells, the colors, it all splashes off again.

My girlfriend had a row of rooms (10) built in Prachinburi. All rooms are rented and now she wants to install video surveillance. And she should be able to see the images at home in NL from time to time. So there must also be internet. Not only to continue the images, but also for the tenants. Wi-Fi must therefore be offered. Are there any experts here who know the ins and outs of how this can be arranged in Thailand?

Having access to the internet is now just as self-evident as being connected to the supply of water and electricity, for example. You only notice how much you depend on these kinds of facilities when the supply falters in one way or another. So it happened to me, at a very unfortunate moment my internet connection was lost.

In countries such as the US and England, it is true that it is not hackers, but cute squirrels who pose the greatest threat to the network infrastructure. With many cables above the ground, this will probably also apply to Thailand.
