Last year a young Thai woman, an acquaintance of mine, came to the Netherlands for a short visit. I asked her to write down her experiences. She did. Her story has not been published until now for two reasons. I was quite ill for six months afterwards and was unable to do much. When I found her writing, the translation from Thai was not that difficult, but the writing consisted of two pages of tiny print, which almost caused me to burn out.
