I would like to have your opinion on the usefulness of a dengue vaccine. According to Bangkok Hospital, this would reduce the risk of becoming seriously ill by 90%. The vaccine is especially recommended for those who have previously contracted dengue. However, the majority show moderate to no symptoms when infected. So many people may have been infected without knowing it.

Question to GP Maarten: Severe stomach pain, followed by pain in my esophagus after antibiotics
A few weeks ago I started experiencing severe itching in the back of my right leg. The skin began to peel, similar to after sunburn. Vaseline brought some relief. The itching has now disappeared, but my doctor says I have a skin infection. He prescribed me Clindamycin.

Question to GP Maarten: Ankle sprain and burning pain
This week I tripped in the garden, forcing tendons around the ankle joint. Yesterday at night I got pulsating burning pains on the inside of the ankle joint. they persist now. I take ibuprofen for the pain, but I wonder if that trip may have pinched nerve pathways.

I had my cholesterol level measured, HDL is 4.8 and LDL is 4.4 on average 6.0. According to the doctor there is a reason for tablets, but I doubt this.

I've been a truck driver all my life. And much of that time was spent driving at night. My doctor at the time told me that I could suffer from this for a long time. And he was right. I used Dormicon during my working life and it worked well. Now this is no longer prescribed.

Recently Dr John Campbell had an interview with the very highly regarded Professor Dalgleish. During this broadcast, an explanation was given regarding our T cells that are present in our body. The effectiveness of the T cells decreases from the age of around 55 and decreases almost completely from the age of 70. The T cells are involved in inactivating cancer cells. That is why you see that cancers mainly develop from the age of 70 and older.

I would really appreciate it if you could give me some advice based on this report. As you know from the previous information, I am now 80 years old, do not smoke and drink a bottle of beer every day and do not excessively use alcohol. I eat quite little and not very fat, yet I am now 84 kg, while when I came here in 2012 I was 75 kg. Only take 1 aspirin per day for good blood circulation. I don't feel sick, but I do feel lazy. Lung capacity now 55%, but should be a lot better within one or two weeks. Received the next medication for 1 month and then take another picture, test lung capacity and determine medication.

Because my Dutch medicines had run out, I went looking in Khon Kaen. I found aspect 81 for the ascal, the amlodipine was well available, but the Perindopril 8 mg was not. Is there a Thai alternative to this?
