I take medication for high blood pressure: Olmetec 40 mg (olmesartan medoxomil). This medication appears to be quite expensive in Thailand (30 pills for 1.100 Baht). My question is whether there is a cheaper and well-functioning alternative available in Thailand?

Yesterday I read on the Thailand blog that Prayut will probably remain prime minister because the military has the senate in their pocket. How is that exactly? Can someone explain that. I also read that the constitution has been amended for this purpose, but you can't just amend the constitution, can you? Does this election make any sense or is it just a show?

Here on Thailandblog something has also been written about the obsession with food in Thai. Of course we all love good food, so do I, but you can also overdo it. My girlfriend eats all day long. In the evening she wonders aloud what she will eat tomorrow. When she wakes up she is already talking about food. She is fortunately not fat, but maybe that will come.

The warm season is coming and then cheap refreshments go well. The sweet makes a kind of ice cream, not as a Westerner knows it: small pieces of fruit of various kinds first go into a Styrofoam cup, then she grinds ice blocks into grit herself and puts it on top, then four very sweet sauces of her choice and in all colors on top and as the crowning glory sweet condensed milk. They go away like hot cakes, ten baht each.
