I want to immigrate to Thailand after I receive my pension on August 12, 2016. I don't have 400.000 and of course no 800.000 THB in a Thai account because I have always financially supported my children living in Thailand.

A strange thing, internet banking was refused to me at GSB bank. I have my pension deposited there every month as of 01-01-2016. I also have two fixed accounts there. I also have an account with Krungtai and Kasikorn bank where I can use internet banking.

In Belgium, the travel organization Connections currently has a promotion for Bangkok at € 379 return. This appears to be with Ukranian Airlines, Brussels – Kiev – Bangkok and return. The connections in Kiev are good, between two and three hours. Drinks and meals on board are not included. Does anybody have experience with this?

We have been coming to Thailand regularly for a longer period of time for at least 12 years. In recent years we have discovered Hua Hin and found it a pleasant stay there. Now we are back in Hua Hin from the end of December and for the first time we are suffering from sand fleas, of course on the beach. In the beginning we both even got flu-like complaints, that is over now, but those bites are very annoying. In the evening it starts to burn and itch violently.

I have an “extension of temporary stay” on a Non-immigrant “O” visa. One of these days I have to do my 90-day report for the first time.

On March 6, my daughter left from Eersel to Schiphol where we wanted to see her off. Plan was; via Qatar to Bangkok; after two weeks to Laos where she started volunteering. If you are not in a hurry and you want to travel cheaply, the train is an excellent means of transport in Thailand. The Thai railways look a bit old-fashioned with the unwieldy diesel trains and the old railway tracks. And that's right.
