The riot about the hospital costs of the honorary consul Richard Ruijgrok (66), who died in Thailand, will continue. De Telegraaf reports today that the family has paid the costs of 400.000 baht. The death in Nonthaburi of 66-year-old Richard Ruijgrok (former consul-general in the Netherlands) has caused quite a stir in Thailand. I vaguely remember having my tonsils cut (tonsillectomy), when I was about 4 or 5 years old, I was in a hospital and I got a big wooden fire engine. That's my only memory of everything that has to do with doctors, hospitals and that kind of shit.

Lung addie has had a pacemaker for 15 years. Regularly, ie. it should be checked annually for operation and the condition of the battery. This is possible here in Bangkok, in the Rajavithi hospital, because that's where my very first pacemaker was placed 15 years ago. However, Lung addie is hesitant to go to Bangkok, especially now, due to the fact that there is only 1 daily flight from Chumphon to Bangkok.

Last week I was not feeling well. Just short of breath and nothing else, we went to a private hospital where an ECG was immediately made. Immediately afterwards with the ambulance to the government hospital, there I got 2 tubes in the urethra.

I read yesterday that if you test positive for Covid-19 in Thailand, you are required to be hospitalized, even if you have no symptoms. Is that right? If so, doesn't that explain why Thailand has so few infections? You would be crazy if you let yourself be tested without having any complaints.
