Thailand visa question No. 080/20: What about my annual extension if I don't return to Thailand in time?
If I do have to go to the Netherlands due to insurance or other urgent matters, I must be back in Thailand before the expiry of my stay extension based on an O visa on September 27, 2020. My question is if Thailand is still closed to foreigners, can I still extend my stay on a date after September 27 in the normal way or do I have to start the whole procedure again?
TB Immigration Info Letter 028/20: Year Extension “Thai Marriage” Immigration Kanchanaburi
Even in this Corona time, we cannot escape it as long-stayers. Before April 10, 2020, I had to extend my stay again. Went to Kanchanaburi Immigration Office on March 18, 2020 for this annual obligation. I request the annual extension based on “Thai Marriage”.
Thailand visa question No. 070/20: Year extension
I have been coming to Thailand for about 10 years on a multiple entry visa. So you can stay in Thailand for 9 months if you look at it a bit with your visa. I am Belgian. Now my question is, how do you get an annual visa? Yes deposit 800.000 baht into an account. But as a tourist, no bank wants to open an account for me. Might be a stupid question but how do you do this?
Thailand visa question No. 069/20: 30 days extension
Is it indeed possible to extend my extension or stay 30 days before the end date? I live in Khon Kaen province. I did find (on Thailandblog of course!), that you can start the 1st application 30 (or sometimes 45) days before the end of the 90 day period. But my extension ends on May 4, so it's not the 1st request now. My 90 days ends on May 13.
TB Immigration Info Brief 015/20: Year Extension
Concerns experience year extension. My situation, since September 2009 mainly stay in Thailand 10-11 months a year. Got married in Thailand in July 1990 to my Thai wife. The marriage was legalized in Belgium and my wife also obtained Belgian nationality in 1993. After 19 years in Belgium and after receiving my early retirement, so mainly residing in Thailand.
In addition to my previously submitted article on the aforementioned subject, I read today (I only have internet once a week) a response to my message, in which it was noted that the questions to be asked by me to immigration (which were only partially answered ), were missing.
Last Thursday, I (dressed in smart attire as requested by the Immigration Office) first submitted my Extension Non-Imm “O” single entry (retirement) and Re-entry (single) application to Immigration Chaeng Wattana in BKK. This, prepared as well as possible by reading your advice on Tb for years and after an earlier visit to the same office, last year, for more information, which turned out to be very difficult even then because there was no time for it due to busy times. Same story again.
Today my last day of my year extension (married to a Thai) I was planning to apply for a 60 day extension at Jomtien immigration. Then I wanted to switch to a retirement because of 800.000 baht then long enough on the couch.
My year extension expires on January 27, 2020. Now I applied for my renewal at the immigration office last week and on February 7 I have to report again for this and then I should receive a new stamp for a year.
On January 16, 2020 I went to the immigration office, located on the outskirts of the provincial capital of Sisaket, for the extension of my stay (retirement) by 1 year (valid until 15-02-2020) and the 90-day notification (valid until 19-01- 2020).
NB: My first year of residence (retirement), based on a Non-immigrant “O” ME visa, was in February 2014.
TB Immigration Info Brief 004/20: Immigration Office Trat at Laem Ngop – Year Extension
“Immigration Office Trat in Laem Ngop, application year extension Non immigrnt O visa based on retirement”. Requested the extension in Chiang Mai last year, it went pretty smoothly then. Only a visa letter from the Dutch embassy was sufficient. This time in Trat province, an elaborate baptismal certificate is needed.
Thailand visa question No. 011/20: TM7, TM47, TM30 and TM28
Do I have to formally change my address every time I move? I've never done that until now. Always ensure that the owner makes a TM30 report.
Annual extension based on “Retirement” for 18.000 Thai baht, without financial obligations. I've been living in Thailand for almost 10 years now, all the time on a retirement year extension, not really a problem, but I honestly think that 800.000 baht separately in a savings account is unnecessary money in an account that you actually do nothing with.
Thailand visa question: Year extension and new passport
In January I have to request/extend my year extension (Non-O based on marriage) again. My passport has not yet expired, but the pages in it are almost full. I'm going to the Netherlands in April and I want to apply for a new passport at my municipality. Shortly after that I will go back to Thailand. Now my question is what is the best thing to do, the annual extension in January but not apply for a single re-entry permit before departure?
Thailand visa question: Year extension and hospitalization insurance
I have to apply next year on 28/10 for my year extension in Khon Kaen which requires presentation of hospitalization insurance 400.000 Baht inpatient and 40.000 Baht outpatient. Can I already take out insurance on today's date, which will only be valid for another month and a half when I register on 28/10?
Thailand visa question: Changes regarding retirement visa
At the beginning of 2019 I read about the upcoming changes with regard to a retirement visa, such as with the 800.000 thb that must now remain in the account for 3 months after the visa was granted and may not fall below 400.000 thb afterwards, etc. I also read about a new medical insurance requirement, has that been implemented?
Renewed my Visa Non-Imm Non-O this week. Was at immigration a little before opening time at 07.30:30 and then there was already a solid queue. After receiving the order number I had 14.30 people ahead of me. Around XNUMX pm outside again with a Visa extension.
