TB Immigration Info Letter No. 026/24: Immigration Sri Racha – Problems with visa support letter
I use the visa support letter to extend the duration of my retirement non O visa. I do this by post and pay the fees and postage via the bank account. My Immigration office is Sri Racha.
Thailand Visa question No. 055/24: – Immigration Hua Hin – visa support letter and bank account deposits
I have been applying for a retirement visa in Hua Hin for 4 years now and using my visa support letter, yellow booklet and the application form this was sufficient for a visa. Now they also wanted to see what I deposit into my Thai account per month, luckily I had my bankbook with me and that was sufficient.
Thailand Visa Question No. 254/23: Is a visa support letter necessary or are monthly deposits sufficient?
Is a visa support letter necessary for the annual renewal of a marriage visa or retirement visa, if you can demonstrate that you have the mandatory sum of 40.000 or 65.000 respectively through monthly (pension) transfers to your Thai bank account?
Visa support letter (for the Dutch reader) – reader submission
Life is gradually getting easier the longer I stay in Thailand. When I first arrived in Thailand, I regularly had to visit various authorities for my stay.
Thailand Visa question No. 173/23: Year extension – Austrian Consul letter or embassy visa support letter?
Concerns annual extension (retirement visa O) based on THB 65.000 income per month. I do this every year with the income statement from the Austrian consul without any problems. My question is this still accepted or does it now have to be the official letter from the NL embassy?
Went to Legalization Office yesterday. They are located at a new location just outside the Government Office Centre. The lady I spoke to was very clear: Legalization Office only works (!!) for Thai Nationals. In terms of content and signature, they only legalize documents issued by, for example, lawyers, notaries, municipalities in the province of Chiangmai on behalf of other (semi) government institutions.
I read that the visa support letter from the NL embassy must be legalized at more and more immigration offices. In Chiangmai (where I live) this is not (yet) the case. But that can change.
I have a question regarding extending the period of stay and the financial requirements involved. I have a Non Imm O visa, and until now I always had and always have Baht 800.000 in my account. I recently read that you can also propose a combination with monthly income and amount in the bank.
TB Immigration Information Letter No. 023/23: Visa support letter can also be requested by email
Thailand Visa question No. 111/23: Ronny with this question you posted a link that is probably outdated. That page shows that you can only request the VOB by post and that has also been possible by email for at least 2 or 3 years.
Thailand Visa Question No. 111/23: Visa Support Letter
Questioner: Laas You posted a very clear article a few weeks / months ago how to apply for a visa extension with a visa support letter and income from (in my case) NL. I'm looking silly on Thailandblog but can't find your article. It's not your fault, of course, but my ignorance. My request to you is therefore if you can send me the correct link. Best regards and good luck to you…
We have a retirement visa that expires on February 7. Initially this ran from July to July. This has shifted due to the covid. However, we will be in Thailand on February 7. We have not reserved the required amount in the bank in Thailand, but we do have sufficient income in the Netherlands. We will leave again in September and applying for a visa in advance in the Netherlands is not possible. The embassy in The Hague says that you can only apply just before the expiry date.
Yesterday I started preparing for my annual extension of residence in Thailand. For years I have been going to the Dutch embassy on Soi Tonson in Bangkok for the visa support letter. I don't live that far from there.
Thailand Visa question No. 034/23: Evidence showing what finances you live on in Thailand?
I have a question about using the visa support letter, money in the account and the difference with a Belgian affidavit. A few days ago, the question was asked if additional proof must be provided if a Belgian uses an affididavit as proof of income.
Thailand Visa question No. 028/23: Switching from Thai marriage to retired with visa support letter?
I have been living in Thailand for 3 years now on a marriage visa and extension. Always with the NL visa support letter.. what a word… My pension and AOW have been increased to such an extent since January that I could now retire. But am I also obliged to bring in 65.000 baht to Thailand every month?
There are quite a few questions and submissions regarding the use of the Visa Support Letter, Affidavit or Proof of Income in a particular Immigration Office As we are used to it is different here and there. Even within the same immigration office In an effort to provide some insight into what currently applies when using those different documents, I have put together some questions about it.
TB Immigration Info Letter No 003/23: Immigration Ratchaburi – Year Extension with Visa Support Letter
I was at the immigration office in Ratchaburi on Wednesday 11-01-2023 and was annoyed that you have to have the visa support letter checked at the head office in Bangkok Wattana. This can only be done via the internet make an appointment on 17-01-2023 I have an appointment. But then I have 3 days left. That was no problem, but he gave me an envelope with contents. He himself thought of 5000 baht and this is the big boss here from the immigration office in Ratchaburi.
