TB Immigration Information Letter No. 023/23: Visa support letter can also be requested by email
Reporter: Josh
Thailand Visa question No. 111/23: Ronny with this question you posted a link that is probably outdated. That page shows that you can only request the VOB by post and that has also been possible by email for at least 2 or 3 years.
Best regards and thanks for the many good advices.
Reaction RonnyLatYa
Thanks for the update.
I'll continue on the link I find and the info it contains because as a Belgian I don't use that VOB.
Can you also provide the reader with the correct link that contains that information because I can't find it immediately?
Note: “Reactions are very welcome on the subject, but limit yourself here to the subject of this “TB Immigration Infobrief. If you have other questions, if you would like to see a topic covered, or if you have information for the readers, you can always send it to the editors. Only use www.thailandblog.nl/contact/ for this. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation”.
Since covid I also do it by email. Done 3 times now
Just visited the netherlandsworldwide.nl website and found this comment:
How do I apply for the Visa Support Letter?
You can only request this document by post. You can find out how to do this on the Thailand Visa Support Letter page.
I could not find that this support letter can also be requested by email.
On Thailandblog everyone can have their own right but on the website of https://www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl/verklaring/visum-ondersteuningsbrief-thailand It is currently stated that a vob can only be requested by post. Quote: “If you are applying for a residence permit in another country, a letter of support is required in some cases. With this letter from the Dutch embassy you show that you have Dutch nationality and what your income is. You can only request this document by post. There are costs associated with requesting a letter of support.”
Dear Jos, would you be so kind and pass on the email address? Both on netherlandsworldwide.nl and searching on the Dutch embassy in Bangkok no result.
[email protected]
It is true that it is not yet listed on NL worldwide, unfortunately.
The embassy's email address is BAN-CA .
This email address is also used [email protected]
I really have been doing this for at least 2 years if you also use the VOB per
want mail (and the immi in Khon Kaen asks for an original !!)
you have to transfer 50 instead of 52 euros.
But that also saves those weird faces at the post office
if you stick stamps on an envelope there and then put them in a
another envelope. 😉
The applicant must still download the application form from NLworldwide, print it and fill it in, then scan it with the other papers and email it to the embassy
@ editor at the first email address something must have been missing [email protected]
I have contacted the Dutch embassy and they told me that the visa support letter can only be requested by post. The Belgian embassy may do it by email.
@ Jacob in January I did it by email as shown in the attached email.
