I return with KLM from Bangkok to Luxembourg with a transfer at Schiphol. The KLM site states that you must take a Covid test before checking in in Bangkok if you are traveling to the Netherlands. But if you only make a transfer at Schiphol, this would not be necessary provided the country of your final destination does not require it.

I booked a ticket to Bangkok with KLM and accidentally mentioned my call sign instead of my name as it appears in my passport. According to the KLM website, this can be adjusted if you contact them. And that's where the shoe pinches. They are absolutely inaccessible to mu. Tried by phone, but you get a tape and after waiting a while you are thrown out of the queue. I tried it via whatsapp but then you get a standard text, the same applies to messenger.

In an article on the website of Luchtvaartnieuws.nl, KLM is considering switching to a vegetarian menu on all flights worldwide. Meat is no longer served in Economy Class within Europe. With the choice for completely vegetarian, the airline would take an important step in contributing to the (indirect) sustainability of flights.

Last Friday was finally the day it was going to happen, the trip to Thailand. Left well in time for Schiphol and arrived on time by taxi in front of the departure hall. The first thing I noticed was that there were no carts for the suitcases. Or yes, according to the employees there were, but no one felt the need to put them outside or at the front of the departure hall.

A while ago we paid attention to a KLM 747, which was taken out of service and is now parked in the garden of a hotel. In addition to the normal registration PH-BFB, that KLM Jumbo also had a name, namely “The City of Bangkok”. In some responses to those postings, blog readers said they had once traveled in this particular plane.

Is a PCR test required for a KLM flight Bangkok-Brussels via Amsterdam? I don't have a ticket yet, but I think I will fly in early or mid-June. I did some research and see that Thailand is still among the safe countries and no test would be required.

Our national pride, KLM, has been present in Bangkok for many years, because it has always been an important destination, sometimes as a final destination, but often also as a stopover to another Asian country. Yes, I know, I'm actually not allowed to say KLM anymore, because it's now Air France/KLM. For me it's just KLM, which has brought me to many destinations and I can't say that about Air France.
