I am 73 years old and have had a valid Non immgrant B visa since 2009 and an annual retirement extension based on retirement since 2012, now valid until Dec 5, 2021.
I read that the hotels in Pattaya do not send a confirmation email of the booking, because they are waiting for new rules that come into effect November 1. What to do now?
On October 29, my wife and I can go to the Thai Embassy in Brussels to apply for a tourist visa + COE. My question is: how long will this paperwork take before we have the necessary documents?

I wanted to apply for my CoE next week for a 43 day stay in Thailand starting November 2nd; that would be 4 weeks before departure, as stipulated on the website of the Thai embassy in Brussels. However, with the shortening of the mandatory quarantine to 7 days, the visa exemption has also been reduced to 30 days. This means that I am now obliged to first apply for a tourist visa single entry, and only then my CoE.
Phuket sees the current Certificate of Entry (CoE) as an obstacle to starting international tourism
The tourism sector in Phuket wants changes to the CoE to increase the number of sandbox travelers. The current situation is too great a barrier for many tourists.
The website of the Thai embassy in Belgium (Brussels) and the Netherlands (The Hague) states that the quarantine period linked to the CoE has been changed from October 1, 2021. Starting tomorrow, the ASQ will last a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 10 days.
My wife (54 years old, Belgian and Thai nationality) and myself (71 years old, Belgian) were married in 2011 and live in Belgium. My wife's father (who lives in Thailand) is dying. My wife would of course love to visit her father one more time. Last visit dates from August 2019. I also want to go there again, for the same reason.

Yes I'm going for it, I doubted for a long time locked up in a hotel for fifteen days, I didn't like it. The Phuket Sandbox was the other option and now certainly with seven days of Sandbox and then back to my own hideaway in the Isaan.

Which corona vaccination certificate is required for the CoE application. Is the international proof that you can generate from the Corona check app sufficient (it does not contain a passport number)?

I have applied for a tourist visa and am going to Thailand in October. It's my first trip to Thailand. I am in the process of completing the CoE. I am now at this question: “expected date of travel”. Now I don't know what date to enter here. Is this the date you board the plane or the date you arrive in Thailand (next day)?

I've gotten some good responses to my question here in this blog which standard insurance statement have been recently accepted by the Thai embassy for a Certificate of Entry [CoE].
Thailand question: CoE – which standard statement from NL basic health insurer is accepted?
I am curious what the latest state of affairs is regarding the CoE acceptance by the Thai embassy of standard English statements of Dutch basic health insurance. This concerns CoE applications for visas that require 2 things: USD 100.000 covid coverage and 40.000/400.000 baht inpatient/outpatient coverage. For example, a re-entry Non O, a Non O, Non OA.
Thailand question: Will Bangkok open without quarantine and CoE?
I learned on Sawasdee Thailand, that Bangkok would open on October 15, without quarantine and CoE. Have you heard more details or conditions about this?

After first coming to Thailand in March, I will now return to Thailand in October with a new COE and therefore a new COE registration number.
Thailand Visa Question No. 198/21: Staying longer in Thailand than specified in the application
Can I also stay in Thailand longer with the Sandbox trip or is the CoE no longer valid? I have a Non immigrant O visa with a single entry. Will I not get in trouble if I cancel my return flight because the trip is for 45 days?
