About 44 percent of Dutch holidaymakers experienced something unpleasant during a recent trip abroad, ranging from minor inconvenience to serious situations such as illness, accidents or arrests.
Spain is the preferred holiday destination in 2020. With a share of 21%, Spain ranks 1st, followed by Greece at 12%, Italy at 7% and Turkey at 5%. Thailand is also in the top 15 sought-after destinations.
