Because I didn't have a Thai driver's license yet, I went to the Trang Land and Transport Department with my legalized Dutch driver's license to have my Dutch driver's license converted into a Thai driver's license. Last year I had my driving license legalized at the Dutch Embassy upon arrival in BKK, because I had heard that it would make it easier to convert. Then have it translated and legalized at the MFA.

I intend to go to Thailand for 2023 weeks in mid-May 3. The planning was Phuket/Trang islands + Koh Tao. However, I understood that the Trang Islands cannot be reached in May. What is your experience?

Expansion of the airport in Trang

Trang airport will be expanded to handle the increasing flow of tourists visiting the coastal province on the Andaman Sea. The runway will be extended, a new terminal will be built and the tarmac of the runway will be renewed.
