Thailand Visa Question No. 141/21: Non-Immigrant OA – New Health Insurance Rules Coming Soon?
I read this this morning in Bangkok post: Covid insurance needed for expats – All foreigners living in Thailand as non-immigrants will in the future have to prove they have insurance coverage of at least US$100,000 (three million baht).
If you don't have enough monthly income, what is required for a statement from a bank? What does the embassy settle for? Is a bank statement sufficient? Or is a bank guarantee required (whatever that means)?
I am currently residing in Thailand on a so-called “retirement visa”, applied for an annual extension with my Non-Immigrant 'O-A' visa obtained at the Thai Embassy in Brussels. I am now married and would therefore like to opt for “marriage visa” in the future. Apparently this would NOT be possible with my 'O-A' and is that application only possible with a Non Immigrant 'O' visa? At least this is claimed at Pattaya immigration.
I have been living in Khon Kaen for several years and am married to a Thai woman. I currently have a “non immigrant OA” visa. Can I convert that to a “non immigrant O” visa? What steps should I take?
The health insurance for in/out patient, which is mandatory for the first year OA visa, may that be a regular insurance from Zilveren Kruis, with additional travel insurance?
I am in NL and my plan is to retire in Thailand, I am 59 years old so I want a retirement visa. I understand that it is best to apply for a Non OA visa here at the Thai Embassy in The Hague.
Will OA visas be issued by the Embassy of Thailand in the Netherlands at this time or later this year?
Thailand Visa question No. 068/21: Non-immigrant OA – CV
Friends of mine have lost their extension based on retirement due to Covid 19. They want to come back with a non-immigrant OA visa. One of the conditions to obtain this is a curriculum vitae in English. Can someone tell me what should be in this?
I want to apply for a Non OA visa here in the Netherlands, I have 2 nationalities: NL/Australian. I want to use my Australian passport here at the Thai Embassy in The Hague to apply for a visa. Is this possible? I called the embassy with this question but the person at the Thai embassy didn't understand what I meant and got annoyed.
A medical certificate is required for my visa application. Does anyone know where you can have the medical statement completed? I assume you also have to undergo a medical examination? I would like to know where this is possible near Eindhoven or The Hague? There is some speed involved. Since I want to leave as soon as possible.
Thailand Visa Question No. 043/21: Apply for Non-Immigrant OA Visa
I want to apply for a non-immigrant OA (long stay) visa. In the conditions sent by the Thai embassy, it is not entirely clear whether this is only possible if you already have an existing visa. Or that it is also possible if you do not have an existing visa?
On December 11, 2020 I flew into Thailand with an OA visa valid from November 30, 2020 to November 29, 2021. The immigration officer has written on my passport that I can stay in Thailand until December 10, 2021.
See a lot in the comments, but they are about in-travelers. Have been in Thailand for a long time. I wonder what the requirements are now if you come for the annual extension of your period of residence OA retired. Have a policy with a Thai insurer 40.000/400.000 in- and out-patient. Do not have a basic policy with a Dutch insurer and no Covid policy. Will the Covid policy now also be required if you are already staying in Thailand?
I have just applied for a visa type O at the Thai embassy in Brussels. I have insurance with Axa sawasdee Thailand for covid up to 100.000 dollars (3.500.000 thb) With the visa O you have to leave the country every 90 days. Can this also be converted on site to a visa OA retirement?
