I miss some things. Epilepsy, osteoarthritis and hernia. I'm going to Thailand for the first time in 2020, for about 30 days on vacation, now I've read that I can only take medicines for 30 days.

My husband sometimes needs certain medications: ciprofloxacin. Tablets 500mg. It is doubtful whether he receives medication from the GP here “just in case”. Does anyone know if this drug is available in Thailand and if so how? Free via the pharmacy / drugstore or via a doctor in the hospital?

First of all I would like to thank you for the detailed answer. I would like to respond one more time. You provide extensive advice and useful tips about pain relief during migraines. However, my feeling is that the attacks are due to the change in medication (from Lisinopril to Lispril) so I would like to focus on possibly another drug than Lispril, if the reduction to 5 Mg does not have the desired effect.

I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure for 10 years, when I lived in Belgium. I have been living in Thailand for 2 years. Before discovering my high blood pressure, I suffered a lot from migraines. I took the medicine (Lisinopril 20 Mg) for years until 2 weeks ago (my GP had given me a supply). I presented the Thai substitute (Lispril 20 Mg) to my GP and she said it was good.

My name is A, am 60 years old, 173 and 70 kg. I have been taking doxazosin for several years for prostate enlargement, not cancer. My problem is that now I have low blood pressure, always below 70/100 and I often feel dizzy and have headaches. And also nausea and heart palpitations. This comes up at the craziest times of the day and some days it's just OK and other days it's really bad.

I am 68 years old, 175 cm, 82 kg. With a dvt where I take Warfarin 5mg per day. A diabetes value of 135 was now established after a month of 127. This was due to the drug jardiance duo 12.5 empagliflozin Metformin hydrochloric. My question, with the current values, can I take another drug that is cheaper? I now pay 1700 baht a month for this one.

I have been taking pain medication for the back since I was 25 years old, later for the back and hips. I've been prescribed Durogesic for the last 15 years. Today I take Durogesic 100 every 2 days. My last back surgery Jun 2012, this was not a success. Conclusion: I had to live on with back pain. I have been living in Thailand for 7 years now. My GP prescribes my medication Durogesic 2 twice a year, enough to bridge 100 months. My primary care physician is retiring soon. Other doctors refuse to prescribe / read Durogesic 6 and send it to Thailand. Would be forbidden…? Anyway, I can't find Durogesic 100 in Thailand.

A friend of mine has metastatic prostate cancer and has been treated with hormone injections for 2 years. This treatment is no longer sufficient and now the oncologist has also prescribed chemotherapy tablets. It concerns two drugs abiraterone (zytiga) and the drug xtomdi. Both resources are expensive, the latter is probably completely out of the question because of the high price. He has no health insurance and must pay for it himself. My question is, does anyone have experience with these medicines and where in Thailand can these medicines be obtained most cheaply?
