Thailand Visa question No. 259/23: Visa exemption – Extending the period of stay due to an accident
I am now staying in Bangkok Bang Khae. My wife and children are Thai. And I'm with them now. Three days ago I had an accident and I now have a large open wound on the bottom of my foot and I cannot walk. I have to go to the hospital every day to clean and close the wound.
A hypothetical question. What if you catch the virus and you have to do your 90 days or your year extension and you can't leave your house or you're in the hospital. Has the Immigration Department already issued guidelines on this?
Thailand visa question: 60 days visa
We want to apply for a 2 month visa for January 16th to March 16th. Then we have the plan to make a trip to Siem Reap at the end of this visa to obtain a 30 day Entry. At the end of these 30 days we want to extend the visa at immigration Jomtien in order to be in Thailand for about 4 months, until May 8th.
I have the following question in possession of an “O” year visa valid until August 2, 2019. I have been in Thailand for several periods. Now I had read that you can only apply for a retired extension 30 or 45 days before the expiry of a card. I will be entering Thailand on June 17 at the earliest. Then get access for 3 months? I'm leaving again around July 25th. Could I apply for this extension in Sisaket in July? With a statement from the Austrian Consulate in Pattaya? I live in Kantharalak in Sisaket.
On Thursday, November 14, I went to Immigration Division 1 in Bangkok for my annual extension (retirement visa). Fill in the usual documents and bring them with you, and wait for your turn.
The annual renewal of a Non-Immigrant OA visa must be done through 'Immigration'. I would like to know how this works in practice? Like, do you have to report physically or is it just an administrative action? Where to report? Of course I want to travel as short as possible.
Reader Submission: Immigration Corruption in Jomtien
I would like to tell my story along these lines. We are probably not the only victims, but maybe we can warn others with this. We have been living in Thailand with our family for 6 years now and like many, we have had to deal with the corruption of the country left or right, but this time I found it quite rude.
Reader question: Something new with my visa extension?
Today it was time to extend my visa again. Normally that was a few hours of work, but today, despite all papers being in order, I received a stamp: 'Under consideration'. I was told that immigration officials will be sent to the village where I live first. Then two random people in the village are asked questions about me. Has anyone ever experienced this?
Thailand visa: Renew visa, do I now have to prove where I live?
Today I have to renew my 1-year visa apparently something has changed. They claim that they must now have a form where you live and that would cost 1500 baht. I've lived here for 10 years and that's the first I hear of it. So my question now is is that true?
I have a friend who has a Thai girlfriend in the Netherlands with a Schengen visa for 30 days, now she wants to stay longer (I advised try a month). Question: is that possible?
