There has been an important update on the new Covid-19 entry rules that will apply from January 9, 2023. Unvaccinated tourists can fly to Thailand without being refused by the airline. However, they must then undergo a PCR test upon arrival.

Thailand may reintroduce limited Covid-19 measures, Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul told reporters yesterday. In concrete terms, all visitors to Thailand must provide proof of at least two Covid-19 vaccinations. It is not yet known when this measure will take effect.

COVID-19 patients will receive free treatment in registered hospitals from July 1, 2022. This change will effectively end the COVID UCEP Plus program, which provided free treatment in private hospitals, and the Home Isolation and Community Isolation programs will also be terminated. The 1330 hotline remains active to provide basic screening and help find hospital beds.

Last Friday I took daughter Lizzy sick from school. In the evening she had a fever of 39,5 degrees, but the next morning she felt fine again. I myself visited the evening drink of the Dutch association in Hua Hin on Friday evening, drank only two beers and was in bed at 10 o'clock. On Sunday the misery started with an uneasy feeling, some coughing, but otherwise nothing wrong. There was nothing wrong with my wife at that time. An atk test showed all three of us positive for Covid.
