A Thai lid fits on every farang jar
Before Covid you could go out just fine in Hua Hin. Although the nightlife is less exuberant than in Pattaya, Bangkok or Phuket, there is no shortage of bars and discotheques.
Patong Beach – Phuket (video)
Phuket is located in the south of Thailand and just over an hour by plane from Bangkok. It is Thailand's largest island and is located on the Andaman Sea. Phuket is a large island and is surrounded by many beautiful beaches, such as Rawai, Patong, Karon, Kamala, Kata Yai, Kata Noi and Mai Khao.

Nightlife in Bangkok reopened without any problems
Pubs, bars, discotheques, nightclubs and karaoke bars in the Green and Blue Zone provinces have recently reopened after being closed for more than two years. The Bangkokians have been looking forward to this moment because everywhere was quite busy.

What I'm curious about and don't read much about is the nightlife in Chiang Mai, is there a bar street for example? And so where? Are there bars with good live music like in Pattaya? Where should I be and what can I expect?
What about closing times in Thai nightlife?
In Phuket, quite a heated discussion has arisen about the closing times of bars, clubs and discos in the Patong entertainment center. About 14 days ago, a major action was launched by the police, whereby all entertainment venues had to close strictly at 1 am. Suddenly hundreds of people were lost on the street instead of enjoying themselves somewhere with "fat" music or otherwise.

Reader question: What about nightlife in Chiang Mai?
We hear good stories about the North of Thailand such as Chiang Mai, beautiful nature, friendly people and so on. We wonder if you also have a nice nightlife there with enough bars?
