Idiocy at Prachin Buri Immigration Office. For many years I have been going to Prachin Buri Immigration Office to arrange the extension of my stay for one year. I have a Non-immigrant O (retired) visa. In previous years, that was a piece of cake with a visit.
At the moment I am married, but the divorce started through a mediator / lawyer, the agreement was if our house, which is now for sale and will probably be sold quickly, the divorce will also be pronounced. But now comes the question, when I am single again, my income including pension will be 1780 euros net, this is +/- 67.000 Bath. But if I have to show an annual statement, I will not reach the minimum 65.000 Baht that is required.

An acquaintance of mine, 78 years old and who has been living in the Ayutthaya area for years, has a visa, but no health insurance. The man is blind in one eye, does not speak a word of English. The advice was that he should leave the country, for example fly to Laos, come back to Thailand with a tourist visa, but then he must apply for an O visa.
