I have read that Thailand now also requires a minimum medical insurance of $50.000 to travel to the country and to obtain the Thailand Pass. After research, it appears that this only applies up to the age of 75. I'll be 74 next month so that would mean I could only travel to Thailand with that Thai insurance for one more year!

Can I apply for a non-immigrant O E-visa before booking a plane ticket? You must also enter your flight details + arrival and departure on the E-visa site. After info at the visa office they say you have to wait until you have a visa, so you can't fully apply for it now.
