I suspect I also have an infection, but there is no pus or anything. If I press on the back of my ear, it is painful and my ear partially closes and the ability to hear is lost for at least 50%. I probably contracted this during a 1600 km Ho Chi Min trip on the scooter. It was quite humid there and half of the trip not too warm. I suspect there is a connection.

I live in Chiang Mai and for eleven years now and then I buy a CD from Amazon. I never had any problems with the shipments. Three shipments that were supposed to arrive in February have not arrived and apparently have disappeared. Is anyone else having similar issues with Thai Post recently?

In Thailand, the number of infections with the corona virus (Covid-19) is at 40, which is strangely very low for a country with so many Asian tourists. A first infection with the corona virus has now been detected in the Netherlands. It concerns a 56-year-old entrepreneur from Loon op Zand.

I have taken up the adventurous plan to travel through Thailand and neighboring countries for about 6 months from December. I have already been able to find a lot of visa info on the Thailand blog, but I still hope for confirmation that I am in the right place in terms of our visa every time 30 days when I travel overland. Can I expect problems with a visa somewhere?

This summer we are going to Thailand for our second time as a family and my third time. Now we mainly enjoy nature, culture, and special places. Our tickets are booked but now it's time to plan the tour. We definitely want to do Bangkok (not done last time), Pai (definitely have to go back was great), Chang Mai (especially the area, look for the special places) and then we would like to do a few more days at the coast. Not to tan on a beach but to be able to do nature, water, caves, kayaking, etc.

To my great surprise, the BVN channel was moved this week. Been warned for weeks that the BVN channel would switch from Thaicom 5 to Asiasat 5, but was never told when. I was forced to look at that black bar every time with the warning!

At the moment the documents for an ED visa are being sent to my home in the Netherlands. Half way through I fly back to Bangkok with my girlfriend. This morning I called the consulate in Amsterdam and put my questions about the ED visa application there. Only the answers I got didn't really clear things up. So I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

I go on holiday with my Thai wife once every 1 years, and we stay in a hotel where the water is heated by such a shower boiler. We have just been, so I cannot obtain any information in Thailand from shops about this. There are plenty of these devices on the Homepro website. Can these boilers also reach a temperature of 2 to 45 degrees with the cold tap water here in the Netherlands?
