Rice farmers are fed up; they want to see money now
Rice farmers in Pichit and the surrounding area are really fed up now: they want to see money for the paddy (brown rice) they have handed in. Tomorrow they're going to block a highway.

Run on agricultural bank savings
Customers of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) withdraw their savings from the bank. They fear that the government is looting the bank to pay for the controversial rice mortgage system.

Sorry, we don't have money to pay you. Farmers have been hearing this since the beginning of October when they report to the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) to collect the guaranteed price for their returned paddy (brown rice).
