I visited a urologist because of frequent urination at night. He examined me very briefly with his finger and said that the prostate is very large. He put me on 4mg for two months. Doxazosin given! It makes me very dizzy and tired day and night!

I know when you get older (I'm 78) you have to urinate more than regularly at night. During the day I drink a lot of water, I stop having coffee around 12 o'clock and I don't drink alcohol. Around 5 am I stop drinking water. At night I have to go to the toilet about 4/5 times, but I don't pee much!

Question to GP Maarten: Tumor in my prostate
Last blood and urine check early November 2019. Blood check again last week, everything OK except PSA now 12,2, so almost 2-fold in 3 months. Had an MRI made and found a tumor in the prostate of 1,5 cm against the inner wall.
Here I am again with a question about the prostate. I just read Mr. "D"'s question and your answer included: "At your age 70+ it is pointless to have your prostate checked". I am 78 myself and was just planning to have a PSI test done and if the value is high then an MRI scan (which is expensive).
I also have a question about prostate problems. Age 70 years. Weight 87 kg. Blood pressure averages 120-80. The hospital prescribed Harnal Orcas for the evening and Avodart for the morning. Urinating is a bit slow but without real problems.
The last remedy has quite a few side effects, such as breast formation and body hair that disappears. The leaflet also mentions an increased risk of prostate cancer.
Question to GP Maarten: Enlarged prostate and Tia
I am 60 years old, weight 68 kg, height 173, blood pressure sometimes 100 – 60!! and rarely higher so suffering from headaches and dizziness what can I do about this? I get checked every 6 months due to a tia in February 2017. I have prostate enlargement and am taking medication for my prostate, Doxocasin and 1 aspirin a day due to the tia. My PSA is way too high, fluctuating between 7 and 10.
My neighbor (from England) has an oversized prostate. He needs to take Finasteride 6mg daily for 5 months to bring his prostate back to normal levels. My question is can you also buy this brand in Thailand or is there an equivalent product under a different name for sale here?
