In 1998 I had a prostate infection. It has been cured with medication. The doctor in question then prescribed me a drug 'Prosta Urgenin'.

I visited a urologist because of frequent urination at night. He examined me very briefly with his finger and said that the prostate is very large. He put me on 4mg for two months. Doxazosin given! It makes me very dizzy and tired day and night!

Had my PSA tested again today, that was a while ago. Peeing has actually been going well lately, but my PSA had gone up from 4100 to 5510 anyway.

A week ago I was given Doxazocin in addition to my Friride. I hope it speeds up the operation of Friride! I am very dizzy all day long! I found this in the internet, what do you think? www.prostagenix.com/special/ It's terribly expensive, but if it helps!

I know when you get older (I'm 78) you have to urinate more than regularly at night. During the day I drink a lot of water, I stop having coffee around 12 o'clock and I don't drink alcohol. Around 5 am I stop drinking water. At night I have to go to the toilet about 4/5 times, but I don't pee much!

I always read all your valuable advice with great interest. In recent months there have been many questions about the prostate. Dr. Google publishes conflicting advice about whether or not to have an orgasm in old age. Would you like your opinion if it is healthy for me to come once a week?

My question is about my prostate. In general, it is difficult to urinate, it is only a small trickle, which is fine during the day, but at night it is very small. My fear is that it won't work at all at night and I have to go to the hospital quickly for a catheter.

I have to bother you one more time with the brand Finasteride 5mg for the prostate. Then you said it was for sale in Thailand under the name of Fride or Propecia. Now my friend (from England) was at his Pharmacy and they gave him another drug GPO-Finax 5 which is many times cheaper. Enclosed I send you a scan with the description and if you have time I would like to hear what you think of this medicine.

Another question, this time about prostate enlargement and green laser treatment. First my thanks for the advice on inguinal hernia. However, I still have an "inconvenience", a benign enlargement of my prostate, which I have had for 20 years. Urination is now a thin stream. About 2 to 3 times a night to the toilet. Is it a good choice for a green laser treatment and what are the disadvantages?

Last blood and urine check early November 2019. Blood check again last week, everything OK except PSA now 12,2, so almost 2-fold in 3 months. Had an MRI made and found a tumor in the prostate of 1,5 cm against the inner wall.

Here I am again with a question about the prostate. I just read Mr. "D"'s question and your answer included: "At your age 70+ it is pointless to have your prostate checked". I am 78 myself and was just planning to have a PSI test done and if the value is high then an MRI scan (which is expensive).

I also have a question about prostate problems. Age 70 years. Weight 87 kg. Blood pressure averages 120-80. The hospital prescribed Harnal Orcas for the evening and Avodart for the morning. Urinating is a bit slow but without real problems.
The last remedy has quite a few side effects, such as breast formation and body hair that disappears. The leaflet also mentions an increased risk of prostate cancer.

In the not too distant future I have to undergo an operation concerning an enlarged prostate. I understand that a green laser surgery gives the best result. Does anyone have experience with this in Thailand? And which hospital in the north of Thailand (Lampang-Chiang-Mai) specializes in this? Does anyone know anything about the costs, because I sometimes see widely differing prices?

My name is A, am 60 years old, 173 and 70 kg. I have been taking doxazosin for several years for prostate enlargement, not cancer. My problem is that now I have low blood pressure, always below 70/100 and I often feel dizzy and have headaches. And also nausea and heart palpitations. This comes up at the craziest times of the day and some days it's just OK and other days it's really bad.
