Dear Martin,

A week ago I was given Doxazocin in addition to my Friride. I hope it speeds up the operation of Friride! I am very dizzy all day long! I found this in the internet, what do you think? www.prostagenix.com/special/ It's terribly expensive, but if it helps!

If I remember correctly, you once wrote that the green scan costs about 100.000 Baht, didn't you?

Thank you for your help!

Regards,

A.

Best A,

That Doxazosin is causing the dizziness. Blood pressure drops. Stop that. Firide shrinks the prostate, but that takes a while. Doxazosin dilates the blood vessels, but whether it really improves your urination has never been shown.

As for prostgenix, I think it would be better to spend that money on something nicer.

I don't know what the price of Green Laser treatment is. Maybe the readers know?

Only do it if there is no other option.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Maarten

The nephrologist also prescribed Doxazosin for my prostate complaints. I can report that I no longer have problems with urination.

    Best A.,
Bangkok Hospital does Thalium laser which is apparently even better than green according to the urologist in Chiang Mai.
I was supposed to have that treatment at the end of March but during the waiting period for Ned's approval. insurer locked Thailand and the specialist with equipment could not come over from Bangkok.
The only alternative was the old fashioned TURP but due to complete lockdown I had no choice. The price difference was about THB 15000 cheaper, but I had already heard a lot of horror stories about TURP so not happy.
A young Thai urologist assured me that his method of TURP was much better than in Europe. So done anyway. After surgery I was amazed that I had no pain and hardly any bleeding and after 4 days I could go home. No diaper, no leakage and after a few weeks no trace of blood in the urine.
I highly recommend this urologist, Dr. Wittawat, Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai.
I had already undergone a prostate reduction in the Netherlands in 2006, after which I had a lot of pain for a week and they did not want to give me strong painkillers because you could become addicted.
Nothing but praise for Thai hospitals and in particular BKH where I have been treated excellently several times, a 5 star care that NL cannot match. Request a quote in advance and they will arrange everything with a Dutch insurer.

Yes, it seems to cost around 100.000 Baht in some hospitals.

With me, the hospital had 2 mg on the package of Doxacin. set: “No abrupt movement”! That speaks for itself!

I also took Circadin (Melatonin) 2 mg before going to sleep. or 10mg. and Alprazolam 0.5mg. (Xanax), but I'm getting off the Alprazolam too! I am very dizzy all day long!

I am not satisfied with Firide, had side effects.
Now I use Alfusozin. Works pretty decent and 15 tablets only 450 Baht.
